Ślimaki, to śliski temat. Dzięki Tatianie Matwij zostałam posiadaczką zgrabnej i wcale niemałej puszki ślimaków w zalewie. I tu pierwsza niespodzianka, bo ślimaki same w sobie nie miały wiele smaku.
Snails can be a questionable suject in the kitchen. Not everyone likes them and there are a lot of people that don't want to even think about the possibility of eating a snail. I definitely belong to the first group and curiosity always wins. I already had the possibility to eat snails in one of my favourite restaurants Provence in Aaalborg in Denmark. Although they turned out a bit chewy, I still had the intuition that snails can be in fact pretty delicious. Just a few days ago it turned out that my intution is quite reliable at least when it comes to snail issue. I received a souvenir from my friend Tatiana, who gave me a can of snails after her parisian trip. It was so nice of her and I really like the fact that she was thinking about my culinary passion even being far away from the country. I was more than pleased and as soon the gift was received it was also opened and tested. For me it was pretty surprising that snails turned out totally tasteless straight from the can. On the other hand it was a good idea, because the manufacturer gave me the chance to season it according to my taste. I decided to go for sth aromatic, colorful and altogether very easy to prepare. The perfect snack of appetizer that will delight your guests, if only they are brave enough to taste snails:-)
